ABOUT DISTRICT COURT
The Jhabua Law Courts opened by MRS C KIRKBRIDE on Feb 22nd 1941. Shri B N Saxena was the 1st District and Sessions Judge of Jhabua. At present there are 10 courts including Family Court working in Jhabua. There are 10 judges Smt Vidhi Saxena is the present Principal District Judge of Jhabua.
Petlawad & Thandla are Tehsil courts of District Jhabua. One Civil Judge 1st class and one civil judge 2nd class are working at Tehsil Court Thandla and one Additional District Judge and Two Civil Judge 2nd class are working at Tehsil Court Petlawad, both the places (total 05 judges in number).

JHABUA NUNS RAPE CASE- The Jhabua nuns rape case was a case of rape of nuns in the Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh in 1998 by a group of 24 men. The incident dates back to 23-24 September, 1998, when a group of person gang-raped three nuns residing in Preeti Sharan Seva Kendra in Navapara, 25 km away from the district headquarters Jhabua.
